We are so excited to share our next adventure with you…
When I discovered Jaspers Meadows, located in the same country lane as our magical Jaspers Berry Wedding Venue, I was so excited at the prospect of renovating an original Mid-Century Modern (MCM) home to it’s former glory
I have to be honest, MCM style was not part of my DNA, so I then began the long and arduous task of researching all that encompassed an MCM home
A home that needed to embrace Personality, Nostalgia & Soul whilst working within the very clean, sleek lines that define a classic MCM home and a retro colour palette
So, my journey of sourcing, upcycling, recycling and finding MCM treasures began…
I must admit, over time, I did come to appreciate the organic, quirky, geometric & curvilinear shapes made from a fusion of organic and manufactured materials that had clean, simple and functional lines that clearly define MCM aesthetics
My absolute favourite (and most fabulous find!) that took me straight back to my childhood was a classic 1960’s Doll’s House
This was lovingly made by a grandfather for his grandchildren, a poignant reminder of the one my beloved Father made for me and my sisters to play with in Rabaul, PNG
This Doll’s House now proudly resides inside Jaspers Meadows home for all to enjoy… I even asked our very skilled carpenter to move a wall to accommodate it!
We’re delighted to welcome you to a home that captures a time when life was simpler… where warmth, trust and country charm invite you to Unwind, Disconnect & Reconnect
